My name is Sérgio Castro, and I'm from Aveiro, Portugal. A chef by profession, I found in street photography a form of expression as sensitive and creative as culinary art.

I've been photographing for over 10 years, with a special interest in black and white photography, where the absence of color highlights the essence of light, shadow, and form. I'm fascinated by the geometry present in the city—lines, textures, rhythms, and contrasts that often go unnoticed in the hurried gaze of everyday life.

My approach blends the documentary instinct of street photography with an aesthetic vision that borders on fine art. I seek images that are both visual and emotional, where composition and the moment find themselves in an almost intuitive balance.
